Kirill Kaprizov scored two goals and had an assist in the Minnesota Wild’s 5-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Xcel Energy Center.

Mats Zuccarello had a hand in two of the Wild’s five goals (7-1-2).

Defender Victor Hedman finished the match with two assists for Tampa Bay (7-4-0), who had won their last three duels.

Filip Gustafsson made 28 saves in his team’s triumph while Andrei Vasilevskiy made 17.

Brayden Point took advantage of a power play to launch the Lightning ahead with his seventh goal of the schedule at 19:15 of the first period.

Joel Eriksson Ek then tied the score at 47 seconds into the second with his fifth of the year. Kaprizov extended his streak of games with at least one point to seven by setting up Eriksson Ek’s fifth goal.

Defenseman Brock Faber gave the Wild the lead at 2:39 of the final period with his second goal of the season. Defenseman Jake Middleton had an assist on the play to contribute to the score in a fifth straight game.

Jake Guentzel recreated the deadlock on a five-man attack at 6:23 with his fifth of the year.

Kaprizov then gave his team the lead again with his sixth goal of the season at 14:37.

Matt Boldy gave the Wild a two-goal lead in an empty cage at 16:56 before seeing Nick Paul make it 4-3, 37 seconds later.

Kaprizov finally nailed Tampa Bay’s coffin into an empty net with 29 seconds left in the game.

After missing five games with an upper-body injury, forward Ryan Hartman was back in uniform for Minnesota. He was cleared in 10:46 of usage time.
