The appeal of the competing lists rejected, that of Rosaire Moriscot supported by the outgoing president Yves Ethève, unsurprisingly, won the elections at the head of the LRF this Friday morning.
There was little suspense left, after the rejection this Thursday, October 31 by the administrative court of the summary appeal filed by the three opposition lists. The elections for the presidency of the Reunion Football League have delivered their results.
The only list in the running, that led by Rosaire Moriscot with the support of the outgoing president Yves Ethève obtained the immense majority of votes (94.73%) this Friday, November 1, at the end of a single round carried out in part by electronic vote.
The team “Acting for Reunion football with our clubs” won the vote with 503 votes for, 28 against and 13 blanks, a result validated during the general assembly which was held in La Plaine des Cafres and in which 101 of the members participated. 161 delegates registered.
At the microphone of Réunion La 1ere, the new elected president did not fail to pay tribute to his predecessor, after forty years of uninterrupted reign.

The new boss of Reunion football nevertheless says he is ready to initiate certain reforms, while opposition remains strong internally. “Everything has not been successful, we are aware that we will have to modernize the operation, while relying on what already exists, but we agree to evolve and adapt.”
And to ensure that he will be up to the task: “I know the enormous responsibility that awaits me, I am not afraid of challenges and I know that with my team, we will succeed.”
