Senegal triumphed once again in beach soccer by winning CAN 2024 in Egypt, thus adding an 8th continental title to its record. CAF President Patrice Motsepe congratulated the Senegalese team for their achievement.
The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, expressed his congratulations to Senegal, winner of the CAN 2024 beach soccer tournament in Egypt on October 26.
In a letter addressed to Augustin Senghor, president of the Senegalese Football Federation, who shared the press release on remarkable work » accomplished by the team in recent years.
The Teranga Lions won their eighth continental title (the 5th in a row), beating Mauritania in the final in Hurghada. Both teams have also qualified for the 2025 World Cup to be held in Seychelles.
« I am convinced that the Lions will proudly represent the Senegalese people and the entire African continent “, said Dr Motsepe, promising CAF’s support in preparing for the World Cup.
