The New York Rangers recalled forward Matt Rempe from their American Hockey League affiliate Hartford on Monday.

The 22-year-old was traded to Hartford last Thursday after the 3-1 loss to the Florida Panthers. Rempe did not participate in this match.

The 6-foot-9 giant has played two games with the Rangers this season, but has yet to record a point.

Rempe has scored 1 goal and collected 1 assist in 19 games since the start of his career.

Aubé-Kubel back in the Sabers lineup

Quebec forward Nicolas Aubé-Kubel will return to the Buffalo Sabers lineup this evening for the game against the Panthers.

Aubé-Kubel was bothered by a lower body injury suffered during the first game of the season against the New Jersey Devils.

Aubé-Kubel joined the Sabers on July 1, after signing a one-year contract.

He has 31 goals and 47 assists in 283 games with the Philadelphia Flyers, Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals and Sabres.

Subban on familiar ground in Belleville

The Belleville Senators have agreed to a one-year contract with goaltender Malcolm Subban.

This is a return to Belleville for Subban, who played his junior hockey in this city from 2010 to 2013.

Subban is 36-34-9 with a 3.10 goals-against average and .898 save percentage in 87 National Hockey League games with the Boston Bruins, Vegas Golden Knights, the Chicago Blackhawks, Sabers and Columbus Blue Jackets.

Hurricanes recall Martin

The Carolina Hurricanes have recalled goaltender Spencer Martin from their AHL affiliate Chicago.

Martin is 1-1-1 with a 2.32 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage in 3 games with Chicago this season.

Martin went 7-9-2 with a 3.30 goals-against average and .889 save percentage in 19 games with the Blue Jackets and Hurricanes last season.

Roy on the sidelines, Sgarbossa rewarded

The Capitals placed defenseman Matt Roy on injured reserve and recalled forward Mike Sgarbossa from their AHL affiliate Hershey.

Roy is bothered by a lower body injury.

Sgarbossa has scored one goal and collected eight assists in seven games since the start of the season.
