A 21-year-old young man was found dead on Sunday October 27 in a room in a night shelter in Besançon (Doubs). A roommate was interviewed by the police.
Macabre discovery at the Glacis night shelter in Besançon. Sunday, October 27 in the morning, the police were called after the discovery of the body of a young man in one of the rooms of the shelter, report our colleagues from the Est Républicain.
The victim, aged 21, was lying inert in his bed when night shelter staff discovered him. The investigators made the first findings.
According to L’Est Républicain, a roommate was arrested and taken into police custody.
Toxicological analyzes to come
During his hearing, he explained that he had consumed alcohol in the company of the victim. He also allegedly provided her with medication during the evening. No narcotics were found during the investigations.
An investigation has been opened and toxicological analyzes will be carried out in the coming days to determine the substances ingested by the deceased before his death.
When asked, the Besançon public prosecutor’s office indicated that there was no evidence to suggest the intervention of a third party in this tragedy.
