A 6th game in a row with at least one point for Demidov (thanks to a magical pass)

Ivan Demidov has been on fire lately.

Before today’s match, he had collected at least one point in his last five outings and the CH hope, visibly, is still hungry.

He blackened the score sheet again today.

The first period was quieter, but we saw Demidov stand out during the second period.

He found himself on a breakaway, he beat the goalie with a nice feint… But the puck didn’t want to cooperate.

The disc hit both posts:

After the second period, the score was tied (1-1).

But it was really during the last twenty that things started to move.

SKA scored four times and Demidov was an accomplice on a goal scored by good old Evgeny Kuznetsov.

Demidov’s pass was masterful, by the way.

He found Kuznetsov and passed him without even looking at him, which led to a superb sequence:

SKA Saint Petersburg finally won their match by a score of 6-3 against Sibir Novosibirsk.

Once again, the Canadian’s hope was used to its full potential: he spent a total of 16:26 on the ice.

Moreover, it is relevant to note that by winning today, SKA now has a seven-game winning streak.

Everything is going like clockwork… Especially since Demidov plays more. I have a hard time believing that this is just a coincidence!

Prolongation

Earlier today, we learned that Ivan Demidov was named to the KHL Players of the Week.

That said, by picking up a point in his game of the day, Demidov now boasts a total of five goals and 12 assists in 21 games this season.

It’s good!
