PHOTOS – Prince Albert’s tears, Charlene’s hug… Wave of emotion at the Monaco Grand Prix after Charles Leclerc’s victory

The event is historic! Charles Leclerc, Ferrari driver and above all a native of the country, won the Monaco Grand Prix for the first time in his career by winning ahead of Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and his teammate Carlos Sainz. When presenting him with the most coveted trophy in motorsport, Prince Albert II could not hide his emotion and was caught shedding a few tears of happiness. The enthusiasm was such that the father of Jacques and Gabriella did not hesitate to break protocol by taking the champion in his arms. Ditto for Princess Charlene who was seen on several occasions arm in arm with Charles Leclerc.

On the podium, the other members of the princely family – Charlotte Casiraghi and her son Raphaël, Pauline Ducruet, Camille Gottlieb, Marie Ducruet, Andrea Casiraghi… – also let their joy burst forth, congratulating their compatriot and singing the Monegasque anthem with him . However, they moved aside when the sportsman popped the cork on a bottle of champagne for a luxurious shower, which the entire Principality was eagerly awaiting this Sunday, May 26, 2024.

Charles Leclerc: who is his girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux?

She was not on the victory podium with him, but Alexandra Saint Mleux admired this extraordinary moment from the circuit, just below the princely stand. In a relationship since March 2023, the lovers have only officially appeared together for a few weeks. Born in 2003, the young woman is originally from Italy and is passionate about art as proven by her dedicated Instagram account, @alexandramalenart. At the same time, she also has a more personal (but private) account on Instagram called @alexandrasaintmleux.
