Noa Dupouy signs his first victory in Pro Junior in Morocco

Noa Dupouy won the Morocco Mall Junior Pro Casablanca, contested since Wednesday at the Ain Diab spot in Casablanca. Author of a victorious entry in the 1st round, the promising Landes surfer then had to settle for second qualifying place in his next three heats, in the 2nd round in the quarters and semis, before finding the first at the appropriate moment: in the final , which he won with 13.10 points ahead of his compatriot Paco Alonzo (11.44), the Portuguese Francisco Ordonhas (11.27) and the Biarrot Nicolas Paulet (8.90). The Alonzo-Paulet doublet had previously eradicated, in the semi-finals, the immense British threat Lukas Skinner, author of the two best totals of the competition (18.23 and 16.00).

“I’m super happy and I don’t have the words to be honest,” smiled Noa Dupouy at first, before finally finding them: “I’ve been close to winning several times in the past, but that doesn’t mean it. ‘ve never done, so I’m more than happy to achieve it today. These events are really important to prepare us for the next level and I hope I can stay the course and fight for the European title as well as a place at the Junior Worlds. » For this last objective, he will have to finish in the top 2 of the ranking, which he leads after his Moroccan success, while only one other round currently appears on the European Pro Junior calendar, in September, in Spain.

Annette Gonzalez Etxabarri in front of the French

Among the girls, there were three French women in the final, but it was ultimately the scarecrow of the category, the Basque-Spanish, barely 17 years old, Annette Gonzalez Etxabarri, who triumphed in Morocco for the second year in a row .

After winning her first three series, each time with a good gap with her opponents and an excellent score (8 points and more), the reigning European champion in the category beat Hina-Maria Conradi of 0.23 points (12.73 against 12.50). Sarah Leiceaga (10.24) took third place, ahead of recent ISA U16 world vice-champion Clémence Schorsch (9.30).

The Tricolores managed a nice group shot in the women’s table since Lilou Rumiel, Zoé Jaeckin and Uxue Dominguez were also present in the half.
