Who doesn’t know Matthieu Stefani? Or his podcast Génération Do It Yourself? For seven years, Matthieu Stefani has received personalities from the entrepreneurial ecosystem once a week. He is also Chairman of Cosa Vostra, an innovation consultancy, and CEO of Alvo, a SaaS solution for independent traders.

Matthieu Stefani is therefore very busy. But he finds time to do a lot of sport, especially cycling. He agreed to give us his good tips, his good Parisian addresses. He who loves Paris and is impatiently awaiting the Olympic Games!

Where to have a coffee?

I am a Paris lover! I like both bistros and real, old-fashioned Parisian bistros. There’s one in the 17th, Bouquet Wagram, I love this kind of place where the waiters are in white shirts and aprons! Even for lunch, I find it cool!

But I also like the opposite of that: palaces. Go to the Royal Monceau, go to certain places, to the Peninsula, have a coffee for 15 euros, we are well received, we have little treats and then we stay there for a long time. There are some pretty funny people passing by, tourists, we’re working…

And then in my addresses also, certain clubs of which I am a member. I go to We Are opposite the Bristol and I’m a member of Soho House. I’m very happy with it.

Where to dine?

For dinner, I recently discovered a festive and friendly Israeli restaurant: Tekès. It’s a vegetarian restaurant, in the center. We are very well received there, I recommend 1000%!

I also like simpler bistros, cafes… In the 17th, I like Le Petit Canon, with its good franquette style.

A book to read?

I have two exceptional books: “Unleash the power within” in French, editor’s note) and “Unlimited Power”, unlimited power. It’s a kind of guru who wrote it, his name is Tony Robbins. These books changed my life and that of many people around me. It’s based on neuro-linguistic programming, very American style!

It turned my life upside down as an entrepreneur to say to myself: “In fact, everything comes from within! If you want to be medium or gigantic, you choose! We often put up our own barriers. But, let’s take an example, if you decide to do a marathon, I guarantee you that in a year, you can do a marathon, despite everything those around you will say and what you will say to yourself.

This resonated with me a lot because I recorded an episode of Generation Do It Yourself with Edgar Grospiron, freestyle skiing gold medalist at the Albertville Olympic Games in 1992 and three-time world champion. And he said to me: “You don’t become world champion by chance, you have to decide. It’s because you decided it that you become it and if you haven’t decided it, you won’t be able to become it.”I find it an interesting inner journey.

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would you choose?

I’m going to put both feet in the dish, but I’m going to say with my wife, because I don’t see her enough!
