Ligue 2 – Match lost by penalty for ESTAC against VAFC, and several other sanctions against the club

This Wednesday, May 22, the LFP disciplinary committee rendered its verdict after examining the file of incidents observed between ESTAC and VAFC during the 36th day of League 2 last May 3. As a reminder, the match was definitively interrupted at 1-1 in the 90th minute after smoke bombs were thrown onto the pitch twice by angry Aube supporters. Four Troyes players then returned certain pyrotechnic devices into the stand. For these facts, ESTAC lost the match by penalty to Valenciennes, which therefore changes nothing in the final ranking of the season. Troyes also takes a suspended withdrawal point from the ranking, and other sanctions against the supporters and players concerned to discover below.
