Hein Vanhaezebrouck and La Gantoise, it’s almost over since the season is coming to an end. For the Belgian coach, it’s now time to rest before considering the future.

The adventure between La Gantoise and Hein Vanhaezebrouck will be official in a few days since the season will come to an end after the last day of the Europe Playoffs this weekend. On the Bufallos T1 side, the farewells have already been said.

Now it’s time…for vacation for Vanhaezebrouck! Indeed, the coach spoke about his future after spending several seasons at the Planet Group arena.

Thus, in the program Extra Time on the Canvas channel, HVH explained that he “will not occupy any active role in football” for the 2024-2025 season while refining his knowledge of foreign football.

Vanhaezebrouck is not thinking of retirement

He also wants to prioritize his health since he feels “less fit than before as a coach”.

One thing is certain: Hein Vanhaezebrouck is not ending his coaching career. “It’s not retirement. I want to get back into football, but I’m going to do something else for now.”

“I will not play an active role in a football club next season. Neither as a coach, nor as a technical director, nor as part of a club, in Belgium or abroad,” he added. .

So it’s time to rest for the future ex-coach of Bufallos!
