Returning to France at the beginning of September, after two months spent in Argentina during which they were indicted for aggravated rape, for events occurring on the night of July 6 to 7 in Mendoza, the two players of the XV of France Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou now hopes to have this case dismissed.
But while the verdict has been awaited several times, then postponed, Midi Olympique explains this Wednesday that the decision will not be rendered, at best, before October 25. According to the French media, two dismissal hearings are in fact planned. A premiere on Friday October 18, and another on Friday October 25. And it is only at the end of this second hearing, and within ten days, that the court decision should be issued.

Accused of rape and violence by a 39-year-old Argentinian woman, the two 21-year-old players have put forward the same version since the beginning of the case, recognizing a sexual relationship with the complainant, but ensuring that it was consensual. .
After several days of detention in Argentina, then placement under house arrest, Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou returned to France at the beginning of September. The first has already returned to competition with the Section Pau, playing two Top 14 matches in October, while the second has only returned to training in La Rochelle.
The “postponement” of this decision on a dismissal of the case should, in fact, exclude the two players from the debates for the November tour with the XV of France. Jean-Marc Lhermet, vice-president of the FFR, indicated a few days ago that a return to the Blues was conditional on obtaining a dismissal of the case. “As long as there is no official dismissal, they will not play in the French team. Everyone manages their team as they wish. The position that I am expressing is that of the FFR. Pau is doing what “he wants to do, La Rochelle too”, Lhermet said at the microphone of Sud Radio.
