– Lausanne HC wins in Tampere
LHC won their match 2-0 against Tappara Tampere in Finland, thanks to their Finnish players. The Vaudois validated their fourth victory in six matches.

Lausanne concluded the Champions Hockey League regular season in style. Geoff Ward’s men won 2-0 on the ice of Tappara Tampere to pick up their fourth success in six matches.
Qualified since the 5th day despite its defeat suffered at home against Fehervar, the LHC forced the decision in the third third on Wednesday in Finland, thanks to its Finns. Janne Kuokkanen opened the scoring in the 43rd on a power play, with Antti Suomela sealing the score in the empty cage 61” from the end.
The “box play” of the unfortunate finalist of the 2024 National League play-offs worked wonders during the first two periods, “killing” the five penalties awarded. And if Kuokkanen broke the deadlock at 5 against 4, he did it on the counterattack, taking advantage of a superb pass from Jason Fuchs.
Established in front of the Lausanne net, Antoine Keller spent a rather quiet evening. Tappara Tampere, who had to win to hope to reach the round of 16, only had 15 shots on target compared to 17 for the LHC.
