During the general assembly of “Rando Pavie”, the session began with a rant from the president, André Carayol, who denounced what he considers to be an untruth concerning the maintenance of the paths published in an article of the Dispatch. He wanted to thank the 9 volunteers who worked 152 hours during the season to allow hikers to follow paths that were always clean. We then moved on to the very positive assessment, greeted at the closing by the mayor, Jean-Michel Blay and Chantal Dejean, Departmental Councilor. The association notes an increase in the number of members (148 to 161). 95 hikes were proposed, with the participation of 1,800 people! Partnerships with the league against cancer, the Telethon, the festival committee, the gardening fair, the leisure center… Two stays in Font-Romeu and Ardèche brought together 61 hikers.
Finally, a very satisfactory financial report with a surplus of €3,324. A guarantee is offered by the Solidarity Fund in the event of last minute cancellation. Before the end of the session, a warm tribute was paid to two founding members who recently died: Alain Labant, 1st president and Adeline Gaillard, assistant treasurer for many years. The members then met around a friendly drink.
