Fourth match and fourth victory for the CSB which won this Saturday evening in the Castera hall for this second trip of the season. Trailing at half-time by two points, the “yellows and blues”, like in Albi two weeks ago, finished the match strong to win by seven points: 74 to 67.
In this meeting, the promoted Gersois, still looking for a first success in the championship, took the lead in the first quarter. Thanks in particular to Fontaine, the locals took the lead in the 5th minute (10 to 6) to take the lead after ten minutes of play: 23 to 16 (the biggest gap of the match in favor of the Gers).
From the start of the second quarter, Peltier, Diakhate and Béthune (CSB’s top scorer this Saturday evening with 23 points) put the CSB back in front 26 to 27. The two teams then took the lead in the scoreboard. display (30 to 29 for Castera then 30-31 for CSB) to reach the break with a two-point advantage in favor of the locals: 37 to 35.

As in the third quarter, CSB started the last period with a bang and regained a six-point lead thanks to Diakhate and Khoussa (52 to 58, 32nd). But the Gersois tightened their defense and caught up, going ahead in the 34th minute: 61 to 59.
Two minutes from the end, while the two teams were tied 65 to 65, Doumbia (author of 9 points for his first match with CSB) and Dronjak (who scored 21 points this Saturday) allowed the Lotois to take the lead: 65 at 67 then 67 to 69 (39th).
In the last minute, Khoussa, on two free throws, and Peltier, on a counter-attack, definitively ensured the victory of CSB which finally won 67 to 74.
