Certainly, the renewal of the sponsorship contract with Nike for ten additional years will make it possible to absorb part of the debts of the club which is always actively looking for ways to bring in money and make savings. This is the reason why, in recent years, the Catalan club has not always been as active as it would like on the transfer market.
But its president Joan Laporta is optimistic, ensuring in particular that the club’s return to its renovated Camp Nou stadium should allow it to generate 28 million in operating revenue and should allow it to attract new investors.
