As a preamble to the Elite race this Sunday afternoon, the Paris-Tours Hopes took place over 178.9 km and a similar route in the finale. At the end of a very competitive race, run in the rain and on muddy vineyard paths, the Frenchman Antoine L’Hote ended Norway’s three-year reign in this U23 category! The resident of the reserve Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale won solo on Avenue de Grammont after a very good performance in the last kilometers, after emerging strongly from the group of favorites more than 10 miles from the finish.

The Belgians at the foot of the podium
The recent winner of the Tour of Eure-et-Loir last weekend therefore continued its great end to the season and was able to savor this great victory, the first in Tours for a French U23 since Alexys Brunel in 2019. The Dane Pelle Køster (Team Coloquick) took second place a few seconds behind the Frenchman, the Norwegian Halvor Dolven (Uno-X Mobility Development Team) completing the podium a little further. We find in the top 5 two Belgian runners, Tars Poelvoorde (Lotto Dstny Dev) et William Graff (Wanty-ReUz-Technord) failing in 4th and 5th place.
