Frenchman Christophe Laporte won the 118th on Sundaye edition of Paris-Tours, one of the last classics of the season, by sprinting ahead of his breakaway companion, the Czech Mathias Vacek.
This is the first victory of the season for the Visma team rider after 213 km of racing in very wet conditions on a course including eight hills and ten particularly muddy vineyard paths.
