Bundesliga. Bayern Munich concedes a narrow draw against Frankfurt, the French shine

Bayern Munich was joined in added time in Frankfurt (3-3) during the shock of the 6th day of the German championship, which kept all its promises.

The Bavarians, hung by Leverkusen (1-1) in the Bundesliga then beaten by Aston Villa in the Champions League (1-0), thought they would end the week on a good note, but a goal from the Egyptian Omar Marmoush (90e+ 4) deprived them of a success.

Vincent Kompany’s men, however, remain leaders, ahead of Leipzig, winners earlier at Heidenheim (1-0), on goal difference. Frankfurt, second before this day, fell one place to one point behind the leading duo.

In this spectacular match between Eintracht and Bayern, the French players shone by scoring half of the 6 goals. But it was South Korean central defender Kim Min-jae who opened the scoring for Munich, after an altruistic delivery from Thomas Müller following a corner (15e1-0).

Scorer Omar Marmoush responded by finishing a counterattack with a cross strike (22e1-1). On another counter, Marmoush served the former French striker of PSG, Hugo Ekitike, who gave the advantage to Eintracht (35e2-1).

Vincent Kompany’s team equalized through Dayot Upamecano. The French defender regained the ball after good work in the area from Serge Gnabry (38th, 2-2).

The offensive festival continued in the second period with a new goal from a Frenchman. Olympic silver medalist Michael Olise, served by Harry Kane, gave Bayern the lead again by scoring his fourth goal this season in the Bundesliga (53e3-2).

But Marmoush snatched the point from a draw for his team by scoring his eighth goal in the championship after being served by Frenchman Eric-Junior Dina Ebimbe (90e+ 4, 3-3).
