While the final phase of the 2024 African Nations Championship (Chan) is scheduled for February 2025, the qualifiers for this local African championship competition will soon start. They will take place from October 25 to 27, 2024, announced Caf.
Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, on September 16, the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (Caf) decided on the host country of the next edition of Chan. This will take place in Kenya in 2025, notably from February 1 to 28, 2025. Before the start of the final phase of the competition, the qualifiers will first take place with the first round of qualifications taking place from 25 to 27 October 2024.
“Le Chan will be organized in East Africa. CAF will communicate in due course the stadiums and other venues that will be designated for the competition. Caf President Dr. Motsepe visited some of the sites in Kenya that are being renovated for Chan. While noting the progress made and the commitment of the Government of Kenya, Dr. Motsepe said there was a need for everyone to work together to ensure that all venues and facilities were ready for the competition.indicated Caf, recalling that Senegal holds the title after its victory against Algeria, host country of the last edition, two years ago.
