Foot 41: 0
Dinan-Lehon FC : 1

Dominating is not winning. Blois Foot 41 had the sad experience this Saturday October 5, 2024 by falling for the first time this season against Dinan-Léhon.

After a series of six games without defeat, Blois experienced a first setback which can be explained firstly by a lack of realism.

Despite a number of opportunities, Léopold Maitre’s teammates did not manage to find the fault in the Breton defense. “ We have at least six or seven clear chances. In previous matches, we always managed to lead, not this evening”regretted coach Cédric Hengbart.

“After twenty minutes, we did anything”

Having entered the match well, the Blésois could have taken the lead but Ngassaki (6e), Capua (8e) and Chapel (13e) did not find the target. “After ten minutes it should have been 1-0. »

Reassured to have overcome the pitfalls of this first quarter of an hour, the Bretons lifted their heads above water, taking advantage of a slump for the Reds: “After twenty minutes, we did anything. » A relaxation immediately exploited by Dinan: on a corner, Huot placed an unstoppable cross header (0-1, 22e).

Blois was going to have to chase the score. Never easy, especially against a team that was going to play the second half well together.

Returning with new intentions, the eleven Blesois tried again like Ngassaki (50e), Capua (62e) and Diaby (78e). But a quarter of an hour from the end, Dinan, otherwise dangerous on the counter with Faty (75e et 77e), still held. The best opportunity came at 88e minute: on a tumble from Diaby, Ngassaki, launched at full speed, took the center back but his shot was too quick. Blois Foot had missed its chance.

“We lacked technical accuracy and got lost a little in useless “baby talk”, noted the technician. We often came from behind to make circuits when the game was directly open and that annoys me. It was too loud for my taste and for the taste of the spectators too, I heard it, and that’s normal. »

“We got heckled in the duels”

Cédric Hengbart, however, recognized the opponent’s performance: “They were valiant, and even tired, came to seek their victory. They gave us a lot of problems with individual marking and we got a little heckled in the duels. »

“It was the match that we had identified, summed up Breton coach Stéphane Lamant. Afterwards, Blois had a lot of chances and I’m not sure that the victory was very deserved. A sharing of points would have been more representative. »

A first defeat which is not alarming for Blois Foot 41. But we will have to restart next weekend in the Coupe de in Châteauneuf (N3).
