Sunday October 6, around 2 a.m., Gard firefighters intervened for a hood fire in the kitchen of an apartment on the first floor of a collective dwelling, rue Roquecourbe in Beaucaire (Gard). The fire was put out before help arrived by the occupants of the apartment.

The rapid intervention of the Gard firefighters, reinforced by those from Tarascon (Bouches-du-Rhône), made it possible to secure the premises and effectively take care of the three occupants. It was a couple and their child, slightly inconvenienced by the fumes.
Fifteen people from the condominium were evacuated preventively. The apartment concerned was completely affected by the smoke, which forced the family to relocate.
After temperature readings using a thermal camera were taken and doubts were cleared, ruling out any risk of a resumption of fire, the co-owners were able to return to their homes.
