Franck Kanouté and Partizan finally close to an agreement on a contract termination

In conflict for several months, Franck Kanouté and the leaders of Partizan will finally be able to resolve their difference. The player’s clan and the Serbian club are very close to reaching an agreement for their separation.

More than a week after a tragic derby and a heavy defeat against Chérif Ndiaye and Etoile Rouge (0-4), which saw coach Alexsandar Stanojević being attacked by supporters and locker rooms vandalized, Partizan has still not only cleaning to do but also hot files to resolve at the offices. One of them concerns Senegalese international Franck Elimane Kanouté. Ineligible with the first team, the 25-year-old midfielder has been in conflict with the Black and Whites for several months, as explained at the beginning of September.

But in recent days, after very intense negotiations, there has been progress on the file. According to our information, Partizan and the player’s clan are very close to reaching a definitive agreement for the termination of the contract of the native of Bignona, two years before the end of his lease which therefore ran until June 2026. The management of the Belgrade club and the agent of Franck Kanouté have reconciled their positions in recent hours and the former Club Brugge footballer will leave Partizan with a significant part of his remaining remuneration.

Kanouté already in negotiations for a new base

After having already settled with the club the arrears owed to him, the Senegalese international with both selections will also receive a good part of his salary over the next two years. At the same time, the one who will remain for a total of 22 matches in the Partizan jersey is already looking for a new employer. Still according to our information, his entourage received a concrete offer from a Ligue 1 () and Bundesliga (Germany) club. Turkish clubs are also in the ranks, but these are not an option being considered. However, we will have to wait at least until next January to see Kanouté on the field again.
