David Trezeguet accused of “psychological and verbal violence” by his former partner

Belén Cosimo has long preferred to remain silent. Out of shame and fear, says the young woman in an interview with the Spanish newspaper The World. But, at 35, two years after separating from David Trezeguet, with whom she had been in a relationship for ten years, she decided to take the former Blues striker, world champion in 1998, to court.

While they had a child together in 2017, the player trained at AS Monaco would no longer pay what he owes to his former wife to provide for the little one’s needs. “He told me to come back, that my Disney life was over and that it was the consequence of having wanted the separation,” Belén Cosimo explains to the daily. I didn’t think he was going to stop paying. I would go [vivre] in the street, but I’m worried about my son, who I can’t put in the middle of all this. »

“It was him or me”

The one who now works at Madrid Barajas airport therefore hopes that this complaint will allow “a judge to determine what is the real amount of income that should be due to me for the well-being of our son and so that the child has a stable future and has a settled relationship with his father.

In this interview, the behavior of David Trezeguet is also pointed out by his ex-partner: “There was psychological and verbal violence. […] I could not continue like this for the well-being and physical health of my son and myself. It was him or me. He didn’t let me work, he even told me that without him I would be a cashier. I couldn’t raise my son this way. As a mother, I chose. The problem is that it’s not me who pays the consequences of all this, but my son. »
