Blues: Kingsley Coman resumed the race at Bayern, five weeks before the Euro

Kingsley Coman is back in business at just the right time. The French striker from Bayern Munich resumed racing late Monday morning at the Säbener Strasse training grounds in the south of Munich, five weeks before Euro 2024 (June 14-July 14). “First step towards a return for Kingsley Coman: a little more than three weeks after his right adductor injury during the home match against Cologne (2-0 victory), the Frenchman was able to resume racing in training“Bayern Munich announced in a statement on Monday.

After this injury, Bayern had mentioned an absence of several weeks, without being more precise on the duration of unavailability. Bayern still have three or four matches to play between now and the end of the season: two Bundesliga matches against Wolfsburg and at Hoffenheim, a Champions League semi-final second leg in Madrid on Wednesday against Real (first leg: 2-2 ) and a possible C1 final on June 1 at Wembley in the event of qualification.

Coman is in a race against time, while France team coach Didier Deschamps must announce his list for Euro 2024 on Thursday May 16. The Blues will begin their competition in five weeks, on June 17 in Düsseldorf (west of Germany) against Austria.
