The problems are piling up for the owners of Les Rouches: Immobilière du Standard takes 777 Partners to court

As a reminder, when the club was purchased a little over two years ago, 777 Partners also acquired, for the equivalent of €12 million, the shares in Immobilière du Standard. Its aim was to raise funds to organize the renovation of the Maurice Dufrasne stadium, in Sclessin.

The project has since been put on hold by 777 Partners, but it has emerged that the new owner has not paid the shares of the various previous shareholders, the second tranche of which was to be paid by April 15.

Debts of several hundred million euros, bankruptcy announced: complaints around 777 Partners are becoming more and more pressing…

Faced with this failure, the former shareholders, including Bruno Venanzi, the former president of Standard; players Axel Witsel, Edmilson Jr and Nacer Chadli have mandated lawyers to assert their rights. Practically speaking, after filing the complaint, the judge will have around ten days to issue his order.

The aim of the action is the seizure of the assets of 777 Partners in Belgium, that is to say what belongs to it, namely… the Standard. In parallel with this complaint, Bruno Venanzi is still awaiting payment of the second tranche for the sale of the Liège club. If the first had reached him, the second, estimated at €4 million, has not yet been paid, although it was due to arrive in the accounts on April 20.

The former president, if he did not wish to confirm the information, should take the same action as for Real Estate and also file the same complaint as Real Estate. The goal, here too, is the seizure of the assets of 777 Partners in Belgium. Does this mean that Bruno Venanzi will recover Standard? That’s not the idea, the primary goal is to recover the money, initially.

777 Partners, for its part, has always taken the same line, namely denouncing certain elements after the sale to contest the payments of the second tranche to Bruno Venanzi as well as the payment of the shares of Immobilière du Standard.
