François Gagnon unveils his starting lineup for CH to start the season

It is in less than a week that the Montreal Canadiens will begin their 2024-25 season by receiving a visit from the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Center in a few days.

Until then, there remains one last preparatory match to be played by the troop of Martin St. Louis while a few youngsters are still fighting to earn a place in the regular lineup following the star forward’s knee injury Patrick Laine.

But what will St. Louis’ roster look like for the season opener?

The journalist Francois Gagnon of RDS took part in the exercise of trying to put his alignment on paper if he were head coach of CH. On the show the Anteroom on the waves of RDS, he presented the result.

As we can see, he chose not to defeat the first trio composed of Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki et Juraj Slafkovskythus giving him three other weaker trios.

Furthermore, the young striker Oliver Kapanen as well as the defenders Lane Hutson et Logan Mailloux would still be part of the team to start the season based on his observations.
