After ’s victory against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening in the Champions League (1-0), Ferland Mendy came to chat with Bruno Genesio, his former coach at , and even gave him a jersey.

Ferland Mendy does not hold grudges. Despite Real Madrid’s defeat on Wednesday evening in Lille (1-0) in the Champions League, the French left-back went to meet Bruno Genesio after the match. The two men worked alongside each other for two years at Olympique Lyonnais, between 2017 and 2019.

Ferland Mendy, who came out at half-time of the match against Lille, was already changed but retrieved a jersey from his bag which he gave to his former coach. A small gesture to mark the reunion, five years after the departure of the French full-back for Real Madrid.
