World Athletics is wasting no time. The body has unveiled the calendar and events for the 2025 edition of the Diamond League, the premier circuit of international meetings. It has 14 stages, spread between April and August across four continents (only Oceania is not included), plus a two-day final in Zurich. The 2025 Diamond League will begin, like every year, with two meetings at the very start of the season in China, on April 26 in Xiamen and May 3 in Shanghai/Suzhou. It will continue in May in Doha and Rabat, before moving to Europe, with a first meeting in Rome on June 6. After stages in Oslo, Stockholm and , the road to the final will pass through Eugene, Monaco and London in July, before a succession of meetings in August (Silesia, Lausanne and Brussels). The final will be held in Zurich for the first time since 2022, on August 27-28. Each discipline will be presented between four and seven times on the way to the final. Extremely rare fact: the circuit will not be interrupted by the major event of the season (Olympic or World Games). The 2025 world athletics championships are in fact scheduled for Tokyo in September (13 to 21), after the final.
