NFL: Raiders receiver Davante Adams prefers to leave Las Vegas

Davante Adams has had enough of Las Vegas.

The Raiders receiver reportedly warned the team that he preferred to be traded, according to NFL Network tipsters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Despite a respectable 2-2 record since the start of the NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders find themselves at the center of a little controversy regarding the star receiver.

At 31, Adams often insisted this summer that he was not interested in playing for another team even though Las Vegas was headed, according to many league observers, into a difficult transitional season.

With victories against the Ravens and the Browns, the Raiders could build for the future despite uncertainties at the quarterback position. Except that a publication on Instagram sowed suspicion among the most attentive.

In fact, coach Antonio Pierce would have added the words “ I like » on a publication speculating about a transaction involving the star player. He has since removed the mention on social media, but the story had the effect of wildfire.

Tuesday morning, appearing on a radio show, Adams clarified that he had not had contact with his coach since the incident.

In addition, journalist Vincent Bonsigore, who follows the team on a daily basis in Las Vegas, told X that he had heard from reliable sources that the team was actively looking for a transaction partner for the receiver.

As the team has five games to play before going on bye, this may only be very preliminary discussions with the other teams. Except that the team will probably have to address everything before the game against the Broncos on Sunday.

A file to follow.
