Paralympic Games medal table: here’s where the French team stands in the rankings

“We chose a complementary pair, in their experience and expertise of the Games. They are two athletes who transported us with their emotions, their words”justified Marie-Amélie Le Fur, the president of the French Paralympic and Sports Committee during a press conference on Sunday, quoted by The Parisian.

Tanguy De La Forest, after five participations without a medal, won silver in the 10-meter standing rifle shooting in the SH2 category (wheelchair athletes), then gold in the prone position shooting in Châteauroux. “It’s better than a dream. It’s just perfect.”the 46-year-old champion had savored after this double, with the AFP.

Aurélie Aubert had aroused just as much admiration from the public by becoming the first French athlete to be crowned in boccia, in the BC1 category (athlete with cerebral palsy and similar disorders).

For the closing ceremony this Sunday evening, Thomas Jolly and his team have once again seen things on a grand scale. 24 electronic music artists will play the last notes of Paris 2024 at the Stade de France starting at 8:30 p.m.
