For Radio des Collines, the former defender of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Marius Trésorwho is now 74 years old, spoke about his life today.
“I’m doing well, retirement is going very, very well. There is no problem. What if I still have a foot in the Girondins? No, no. I put an end to the Girondins. I always follow the team's results, but this year I haven't seen a match yet, because it was behind closed doors because of the war between two Girondins supporters' clubs. But everything is going well for me, I am at peace. I live in the Bordeaux suburb of Taillan-Médoc.”
And then, he mentioned the current situation of the FCGB.
“When we see the club now, in National 2, from time to time we pinch ourselves saying that it's not possible, something has happened… And there, I'm afraid that we will or for a little while. What if I felt this decadence coming? With everything that happened in Bordeaux, I think it was predictable. We saw Mr. Lopez arrive, especially with his friend, the sports manager, Admar Lopes… The players who came to the Girondins de Bordeaux had fairly exorbitant salaries compared to what was happening before… We wondered where we was going to… But we really didn't think that the team was going to fall so low. Well, now, the recovery will be long, but I hope that the club will regain its former aura.”
