Aïmen Moueffek is still absent from the ASSE group which travels to Auxerre this evening. Between poor performances, injuries and illness, his case is challenging.
It is without Aïmen Moueffek that ASSE will travel to AJ Auxerre this evening. According to Eirik Horneland, the midfielder is in the “re-athleticization” phase. The Vienna native had contracted the flu during the winter break and this would explain his absence since the start of the year. As of 2025, he still hasn't played. And he still hasn't appeared in practice either.
An absence that continues
Horneland slipped that the player needed to be “upgraded”. Which raises questions, after a first part of the season where the Moroccan appeared very inside. Injured during summer preparation, he slipped to the bench after having started a series of starts at the start of the season. But in each of his appearances, whether starting or entering, Moueffek (23 years old), extended last summer, was very disappointing. So much so that we wondered what the problem was. A question that we inevitably ask ourselves even more with his prolonged absence at the start of the year.
