This afternoon, several sources confirmed that Akor Adams would leave Montpellier Hérault SC to join Spain, after a successful season and a half in the Pailladin jersey. A departure which leaves a void in Jean-Louis Gasset's squad, in search of a new attacker to lead the battle to maintain.
According to L'Équipe, the MHSC would seriously consider the return of Andy Delort to fill this gap. Currently a player for Mouloudia d'Algiers, the 33-year-old striker would be seduced by the idea of returning to Montpellier, a club where he shone between 2018 and 2021. Jean-Louis Gasset, for his part, would see in him a profile able to revitalize his team and bring experience during a delicate period.
However, the negotiations are still at a preliminary stage. This potential return will not fail to make supporters react, some remembering the controversial departure of Andy Delort for Nice in 2021.
