“Indeed (laughs), it’s no longer the same team as when we played against you. We looked at all that… I think that the Bordeaux squad is still one of the best squads in the group, with players who have higher levels than all that. The way we look at this squad is that it is one of the two or three squads that are stronger than the others in our group. There is a defense that is quite airtight, yes. And despite everything in attack, you still have a player who has quickly become the top scorer in the championship, and who is capable of scoring goals that few National 2 players can score, you have to be lucid…”.

But Andy Carroll will not be present, because he is injured for almost a month.

“That’s what I thought I saw (smile). Unfortunately for him, but maybe it will be good for us, because he is really a player who is working in the championship. Having a player like that in front of you is always an added apprehension, but to tell yourself that it will be easier to play without him would be a bit presumptuous. And then, I think that the Bordeaux squad is sufficiently complete for them to be able to do without a player for two or three days of the championship.
