Nico Paz is having a good season with Come in Serie A, so much so that his coach, Cesc Fabregas, wouldn't sell him for anything in the world.
Sold to the Serie A promotion in August 2024 for the modest sum of 6 million euros, Nico Paz is one of the small revelations of the Italian championship and especially of his team with whom he is fighting to stay in the elite (16th ). The Argentinian is a centerpiece of his trainer who is none other than Cesc Fabregas.
Author of 3 goals and 4 assists in 18 appearances, the midfielder trained at Real Madrid had the right to a few appearances in the First Team under the orders of Carlo Ancelotti. He even shone in the Champions League by scoring a decisive goal against Napoli (3-2) then he flew to Italy in search of playing time.
Real Madrid has an option
For the first time, Cesc Fabregas also spoke about the contractual situation of his player and his ambitions. The Spaniard is clear: he does not want to part with Nico Paz but he is well aware that everything is not in his hands. Real Madrid also has the possibility of snatching it from Como.
-“Nico is a Como player. Real Madrid can buy him back but at a certain price. He is a young player and our relationship with his family is very stable”, he clarified, an amount which should turn around 15-20 million euros.
“We are very happy with him, they thank us for all that and it is a great pleasure to have him with us here. He is our brand. He represents us well and we want him to continue here for many years. When I say we, I mean the club and the president, we know what we have to do and we are working towards it,” he continued.
And for Cesc Fabregas, it is priceless. “If Real Madrid do not want to buy him, Come will not sell him, not even for 40 or 50 million euros because we want to build our future. Build an identity with this group of talented young players and make sure that Come can become a strong team in 3 or 4 years,” concluded the coach.
