From the start of the match, the Greens were well in place and had the first opportunity of the match thanks to a recovery in the middle of the field by Amandine Pierre-Louis. Launched in depth, Morgane Belkhiter searches for Alexandria Lamontagne, stopped short by the attentive Parisian goalkeeper. Fleury then takes control of the ball by multiplying attempts, all stopped by Maryne Gignoux whose gloves are heating up. Unfortunately, the Greens concede the first goal following a call behind the defense by Batcheba, who avoids the green goal and pushes the ball into the empty goal (Fleury 1-0 ASSE, 17e). Less than ten minutes after opening the score, Robert doubled the lead after a poorly cleared ball by the Saint-Etienne defense and adjusting with the flat of his foot (Fleury 2-0 ASSE, 24e). Throughout the first period, the Greens tried to destabilize the Ile-de-France team, who were well established, by relying on rapid counter-attacks, but the Greens returned to the locker room two lengths behind.
The second half unfortunately got off to a flying start with two goals in quick succession for the locals. Almost without touching the ball since the start, Traoré is found in depth, dodges Lisa Martinez's tackle and crosses for Batcheba, alone in the axis, who just has to push the ball into the back of the net (Fleury 3-0 ASSE, 46e). Shortly after the start, a loss of ball from Stéphane in the central circle was exploited by Fleury. Following an overflow then a mix-up in front of the green cage, the ball ended up entering after hitting the crossbar for Batcheba's hat-trick (Fleury 4-0 ASSE, 48e). The nightmare continues for the Greens who concede a new goal from Traoré, eliminating the Saint-Etienne goalkeeper (Fleury 5-0 ASSE, 55e). The Greens tried to react with attacks from Cindy Caputo and Alexandria Lamontagne, but without success. The locals managed the end of the match calmly and finished off the Greens with a final goal on a new through ball (Fleury 6-0 ASSE, 90e+5).
The Greens, still eighth, will host Nantes at the beginning of February for the rest of the championship but will travel to Reims next Saturday for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France.
