While everything seemed settled in the loan of Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus since the player passed his medical examination, a problem appeared on the Parisian side: PSG already has too many players on loan…
Randal Kolo Muani found his smile again when he arrived in Turin yesterday, passing his medical examination successfully in the process, and even his new coach Thiago Motta announced the arrival of the 26-year-old French striker would soon be complete until the end of the season. Juventus and PSG agreed on a loan without a purchase option, with Juventus covering the player's salary in full. But a problem has emerged in recent hours.
As revealed by the Italian press, the problem comes from… PSG which simply has too many players loaned abroad this season. For several years, FIFA has implemented a limit on the number of players who can be loaned abroad by a club. First set at 8 in 2022/2023, it has gradually decreased to 6 since this 2024/2025 season, the final figure.
PSG already have six players on loan
However, PSG has already reached this quota of six players loaned abroad this season: Xavi Simons at RB Leipzig, Carlos Soler at West Ham, Juan Bernat at Villarreal, Renato Sanches at Benfica, Nordi Mukiele at Bayer Leverkusen and finally Cher Ndour at Besiktas. Paris cannot therefore lend Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus under current conditions and there are two solutions: either PSG sells one of the six players listed, or it recalls one from his current loan. Another solution is to change the formula for Kolo Muani, but a transfer would be difficult to complete given the amount to be committed.
Response in the coming hours, but Kolo Muani is currently blocked even though everything was recently settled between him and Juventus…
-[MAJ 18h30] According to Gianluca Di Marzio who discusses this matter, this setback does not at all call into question the final outcome of the case and PSG should quickly resolve the problem.
For our part, we do not understand why Cher Ndour is included in this list of six players loaned abroad while players under 21 are supposed not to count. However, the Italian midfielder is only 20 years old and will not turn 21 before the end of the season (he was born in July 2004).
