After the cinematic universe of Harley Quinn, Lady Gaga is preparing to mark 2025 with LG7an electro-sounding album in collaboration with French producer Gesaffelstein.
Lady Gaga, who released in 2024 l’album Harlequin inspired by his role in Joker: Folie à deuxreturns to his first musical loves with LG7planned for February 2025. This disc, announced as a return to electro-pop and dark influences, promises a rich and varied musical experience.
A first promising extract: Disease
To announce this opus, Lady Gaga revealed in October 2024 the title Disease. This dark, industrial track mixes elements of electro-pop and synthpop, reminiscent of periods The Fame Monster (2009) et Born This Way (2011). The lyrics, tinged with medical metaphors, seem to evoke her fiancé Michael Polansky. With dark visuals and polished production, Disease won over early fans, delighted to find a daring Lady Gaga.
A collaboration with Gesaffelstein
Among the surprises of this album, the participation of Gesaffelstein arouses great expectation. The French producer, known for his collaborations with The Weeknd (Lost in the Fire, I Was Never There), brings his unique and dark touch to this project. Lady Gaga told Los Angeles Times having worked with several producers to explore various musical genres.
-An eclectic and introspective album
Although the final title of the album remains secret, Lady Gaga describes this project as a work navigating between chaos and love. “The album jumps from one genre to another in an almost corrupt way. It ends with love,” she said. This quest for peace and musical diversity marks a new stage in the artist's career.
