Paris Saint-Germain continues its search for a central defender capable of stabilizing a rearguard in search of certainty.
After seeing Abdukodir Khusanov slip through their fingers to join Manchester City, the Parisian club is now tackling another promising target: Radu Dragusin, the young Romanian central defender from Tottenham.
According to the Spanish media TransfersPSG sent an offer of 50 million euros to Spurs for Dragusin. The 22-year-old has established himself in the London XI thanks to his solid performances and opportunities linked to injuries in the squad. With an excellent Euro 2024 with Romania, he is considered one of the great hopes for his position.
However, the task promises to be difficult for PSG. Tottenham has no intention of selling Dragusin, especially since the defender is under contract until 2030. In addition, Spurs, currently struggling in the Premier League, cannot afford to lose a defensive pillar. With interest also coming from Italy, notably from Naples and Juventus, competition could further complicate Parisian plans.
-Five years after the departure of Thiago Silva, PSG is still struggling to find a figurehead for its defense. If Milan Skriniar has not met expectations and Lucas Beraldo is still learning, the arrival of Dragusin could meet the demands of a club which aspires to shine on all fronts.
