Coupe de France – 16th: The notes of the Mastiffs after OM – LOSC

Back on the gong, LOSC found the necessary resources to never deviate from the path leading to victory, winning on penalties (1-1, 3-4 tab) against OM. Here are the scores awarded to the Dogues, qualified for the round of 16 of the Coupe de .

Vito Mannone (8) : What a performance from the goalkeeper! First to win a one-on-one in front of Greenwood in the first half then to deflect the Englishman's shot onto the post in the second. A little short on the equalizer, he shone during the penalties with two saves, a second of which was simply exceptional.

Thomas Meunier (6,5) : Holder in the right lane of defense, he was interesting in ball releases with his ability to cut Marseille's pressure by running. He was also generous in the effort and decisive in opening the scoring with a superb outside foot to launch David.

Bafode Diakité (5): A rather average match from the Lille defender, who made a few technical or positioning errors, opening up space for the Marseille attackers, ultimately without consequences.

Alexsandro (7): Reassuring on the restart with passing angles to break Marseille's pressure, the Brazilian was solid defensively to make some well-felt returns, notably on Maupay and Rowe, before transforming his shot on goal with composure.

Ismaily (6) : Quickly entered the game following the exit of Gudmundsson, the Brazilian showed his technical quality between the lines to streamline the Lille game and even allowed himself a few excesses which could have been decisive.

Benjamin André (6.5): After a start to the match where he lost a few dangerous balls, he raised his level of play to ensure balance defensively and in the use of the ball against less intense Marseille pressure.

Ngal'ayel Mukau (6): Remaining on the bench at , he had energy to spare with a lot of activity and races, particularly in the right lane where his relationship with Bakker caused difficulties for the Marseille defense. A little less prominent defensively even if he oriented the Marseille situations well.

Mitchel Bakker (5.5) : Back in this right winger position, the Dutchman continues to surprise. Not necessarily comfortable in the last gesture, he had a significant volume to overflow, swap with the other offensive players, come and compensate and move between the lines. A little naive about the Marseille goal but after so much effort, that can be understood.

Hakon Haraldsson (6) : Always as generous in his movements, the Icelander was important in holding the ball between the lines with constant availability against the Marseille block. He opened the scoring by being perfectly on the lookout for a cross from David before missing a one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper, ultimately having no impact on qualification.

Rémy Cabella (5): He alternated between the position of left winger and playmaker and did rather well, despite a glaring lack of depth in Lille's offensive play. In particular, he scratched a lot of balls at Marseille's feet but lacked lucidity in the last gesture despite still having such a high volume.

Jonathan David (5,5) : It was not an easy match against the Marseille defense but from the start of the match, we saw him willing, coming between the lines, making runs without the ball and this was gradually rewarded until this decisive pass for Haraldsson.
