Present at a press conference this Tuesday on the eve of the match against Espaly in the Coupe de France, Luis Enrique covered PSG news and was notably questioned about his future in Paris. The Spanish technician repeats that he loves this project which he could see running for another 10 years.
Arriving in 2023 in PSG in order to carry out a brand new project, Luis Enrique seems perfectly fulfilled in this role. Although criticized, the Spanish technician for his part has several times shown his motivation at the idea of continuing to develop the Parisian project which consists of helping young players grow. And while behind the scenes, he would have already extended his contract, Luis Enrique is planning for the very long term in PSG.
-“10 years at PSG? I hope”
« I don't know how long I will stay at PSG. 10 years? I hope. But the reality is that it's difficult to be at a top club for so many years. In my previous clubs, I didn't stay more than four years, I needed to recharge my batteries because energy is something that runs out. But here, it's a very different project from those I've known before. I feel very good here, very comfortable », says the Spanish technician at a press conference, before continuing.
“It would be great if it was 10 years”
« I've been trying to convey this to you from the beginning. It would be great if it was 10 years, that would mean that everyone is happy, but I want to live in the present moment, to develop the squad with players for whom I plan very far. I would like to develop this project, but I am not an innocent novice. I know how the competition goes, you have to be at your best in all competitions to last several years and it wears out everyone, the club, the supporters. I don't know where I am, it doesn't seem important. What is important is that right away, I have the energy necessary to imagine all of this as a real possibility. », added Luis Enrique.
