Reduced to ten at the hour mark, then to nine at the very end of the game, the SM Caen scored a fourth consecutive success in Ligue 2 against Grenoble (0-1) and sank a little deeper into the crisis this Saturday. Stuck in 16th place, the Normans are six points behind the first non-relegation place and are only three units ahead of the red lantern Martégale. A disappointing performance and a worrying situation mentioned by the Caen coach, Bruno Baltazaron the microphone of our colleagues from France Bleu Normandie.

« A weird match, with a lot of weird situations, I would say. We started the first half well, we tried to have the ball and build up confidence. Now, of course the game plan is important, but the most important thing right now is to get results and win matches. Once again, we scored an unacceptable goal, we lacked concentration, we cannot concede a goal like this. In the second half, it was tough. We started badly, I tried to correct a few tactical situations. Afterwards, there is a ridiculous red card. I had the opportunity to see the images, it’s ridiculous. This is not a good match from Mr. Guillaume Paradis. I’m not going to hide behind the referee, we didn’t lose because of him, but in the 60th minute, we got a ridiculous red card and that changed the match. Afterwards, even with ten players, we tried to come out on the counterattack. We had an opportunity with Bilal Brahimi, but we didn’t succeed. I’m frustrated with the result, there are a lot of things to do and change. More than talking, you have to show different behavior, more competitive and more aggressive (…) I had the opportunity to speak with the supporters, I understand their feelings. I arrived at a complicated time, I knew that before coming. I am responsible now, and we have to show a lot more. I understand their frustration, and they are right. »
