A Brazilian international close to signing up!

OM seemed well on their way to making a nice move on the transfer market. Pablo Longoria et Mehdi Benatia had in fact identified Danilothe Brazilian defender of Juventusas a priority target to strengthen the workforce of Roberto DeZerbi. But the negotiations ultimately did not come to fruition, and it is Naples who is about to win the prize for the 33-year-old Auriverde international.

A golden opportunity for OM

Considered undesirable by Thiago Mottathe new coach of the Juventus, Danilo was expected to terminate his contract in the coming days. A boon for OM who could thus secure the services of an experienced player, capable of playing in the center of defense but also at right-back. With his experience in Serie Ain Liga and in the national selection, Danilo could have brought a real plus to the Marseille team.

Naples is ahead of OM in this matter

But very quickly, Naples entered the dance to recruit the Brazilian. Negotiations progressed quickly and an agreement was reached around a one and a half year contract according to information from Gianluca Di Marzio. Danilo should therefore commit until June 2026 with the leader of Serie A. A hard blow for OM who are missing out on significant reinforcements and a great opportunity. Pablo Longoria and his teams will have to fall back on other avenues to find the coveted defender.

This disappointment in the file Danilo should not calm OM’s enthusiasm on the transfer market.
