Even if it no longer plans to pay huge sums in compensation, PSG remains on the lookout for free stars. And there will be many on the market this summer, in addition to Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)!
Yesterday, Mohamed Salah scored again with Liverpool, against Manchester United (2-2). It was certainly a penalty but the Egyptian still has 18 goals in 19 Premier League days, all accompanied by 13 assists. At 32, he has never looked stronger, which makes it all the more incredible that he could leave LFC on a free at the end of the season. In an interview with Sky Sports last week, the striker explained that negotiations were continuing with his management but that, for now, this was his last season at Liverpool. Strong words which obviously had an echo in Paris, where Salah constitutes a dream for the Qatari owners.
Kimmich, Son, Dybala, Sané…
But the Egyptian is not the only great player followed by Luis Campos. According to PSGInside-Actus, the Parisian sports director is on the lookout for several stars at the end of their contract. The idea is not to sign them all next offseason but to lock in at least one. The fact that there is no compensation to be paid for elements of this caliber constitutes an obvious reason to be interested in them. According to the media, Joshua Kimmich (29 years old, Bayern Munich), Leroy Sané (28 years old, Bayern Munich), Paulo Dybala (31 years old, AS Roma) and Heung-Min Son (32 years old, Tottenham) are on the Parisian shelves.
Kimmich is notably followed by FC Barcelona and English clubs, while Sané, who plays in the same position as Salah, is close to a contract extension with Bayern. But, again, it would be a matter of recruiting one of these players, not all of them. The project to recruit promising young people remains current but this youth needs to be supervised by experience. Salah, Kimmich, Sané, Dybala and Son could all bring it.
