OM: Elye Wahi’s affairs are getting a little more complicated…

For Elye Wahi, the first part of the season was not easy. A complicated adaptation, goals that are slow to come and competition from Neal Maupay that has become too strong. But for the OM striker, the second half of the season already promises to be even tougher. Explanation.

With two small goals in thirteen games in the OM jersey, Elye Wahi can hardly puff out his chest. The Marseillais spent 25 million euros on his transfer, and will take 5 million more euros out of their funds once the various bonuses are activated. After six months, the Frenchman's assessment is therefore too fair to be satisfactory. And the rest of the program does not bode well…

Maupay passed in front of Wahi

Supported by his coach, Roberto De Zerbi, Elye Wahi was able to make a series of starts this summer and at the beginning of the fall. But the competition from Neal Maupay has become too strong… The former Everton player has taken precedence over his teammate and is now displayed with the label of number 1. Competition that will be even stronger in a few weeks.

Moumbagna, the return!

Injured in the knee since August, Faris Moumbagna can already see the end of the tunnel! The Cameroonian striker has returned to training and he seems ahead of the transition times indicated by the medical staff. By February, Moumbagna should be operational! An important comeback for Roberto De Zerbi, who will have a third choice in attack. Less good news for Elye Wahi, who will no longer have to fight with one man to be able to be a holder, but two clients!
