Bordeaux president Gérard Lopez is still looking for new investors capable of taking over the club which is currently playing in National 2. He was reportedly contacted on this subject by two men known in the world of Football.
Perhaps a glimmer of hope after several years of descent into hell. Administratively demoted to National 2 this summer then placed in receivership, the Girondins de Bordeaux are riddled with debt and are looking for funds capable of getting the club back afloat.

And salvation could come from a totally unexpected duo. Indeed, according to revelations from Sud-Ouest, the former president of Olympique de Marseille Jacques-Henri Eyraud recently contacted Gérard Lopez in order to find out “about the conditions of a possible resumption”. Even more surprising, he would have done it in the name of Oliver Kahn, Germany's emblematic goalkeeper in the 2000s (86 caps).

The former goalkeeper, winner of the Champions League in 2001, wore the Bayern Munich jersey more than 700 times. After his retirement from sports, he even became executive president of the Bavarians for two years, until May 2023. Since then, he has not hesitated to display his intention to invest in a football club.

His sights would therefore have been set on the Girondins. Moreover, still according to Sud-Ouest, the first contact would have been positive and the German would continue to study the takeover file.
