Pushed towards the exit this winter, OM defender Lilian Brassier (25 years old) would have several courtiers, but RC Lens would not be one of them.
Marseille's first recruit of the last offseason, Lilian Brassier could also be the first player to leave OM this winter. The 25-year-old central defender flopped big time in Marseille. After showing intransigence towards him, Roberto De Zerbi ended up losing patience and removing him from the team, following a home defeat against Auxerre (1-3), on November 8, during which he was catastrophic. The Italian criticized the former Brest player for his restlessness and his inability to restart correctly. Totally destabilized, Brassier plunged and a departure seemed to be the only suitable solution for both parties.
He is not on the Racing shortlist
In today's edition, L'Equipe explains that RC Lens, OGC Nice, FC Nantes and Stade Rennais are looking to recruit a central defender this winter. But La Minute OM suggests that if Racing is looking for this position, Brassier is not on its shortlist. As a reminder, before any transfer, OM will have to reach an agreement with Stade Brestois because the defender is only on loan with a purchase option of €11 million. The Marseille leaders believe that Brassier's rating has not suffered from these six missed months and hope to be able to recover a nice compensation.
