A former Olympique Marseille target appears close to leaving his club.
In the summer of 2024, theMarseille Olympic hit hard. The Olympian club has been very active on the transfer market, with ambitious recruitments such as Roberto De Zerbi, Mason Greenwood and Adrien Rabiot. The Phocéens aim to become a reference in France and on the European scene in the years to come.
Although OM has strengthened considerably, not all the coveted players have been recruited. Among them we find Kiliann Sildilliathe French right side of Freiburgwhich was on the shelves of Marseille. Despite the interest of the Phocaeans, Sildillia remained in Germany for the moment. However, this could soon change. According to Sébastien Denis, Freiburg would be ready to consider a departure of the 22-year-old defender, asking around 12 million euros for his transfer. However, OM would no longer have great interest to recruit the player.
Kiliann Sildillia, from ancient history?
In Germany since 2021, Kiliann Sildillia looked to be a key player for the Freiburg club. Last season, he had played 38 matches in all competitions. However, this season his playing time has decreased significantly. With only 8 matches playedthe Frenchman has become a less central element for the squad.
Friborg would therefore have decided to part with its side, who was very courted this summer, not only by OM. But over time, priorities have changed for the Olympian club. Sildillia would no longer be a priority, and Marseille would not be ready to take the first step to try to recruit him. The player is also followed by a major Serie A club.
