In difficulty to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor by December 31 in La Liga, FC Barcelona has found a solution, as revealed by Sport this Saturday: the sale of a significant number of VIP seats at the future Camp Nou for 20 years , in exchange for a check for 120 million euros signed by a Qatari fund.
If Barça has always said it is confident in the resolution of the case of the registration of Dani Olmo, the last minute solution is about to be implemented. This is what Sport said this Saturday, indicating that an agreement had been signed by a Qatari fund for 120 million euros, in exchange for the exploitation of a significant number of VIP seats at the future Camp Nou for the next twenty years.
The agreement is not yet 100% finalized since only the Qatari fund has signed its part, Barça having not yet initialed the contract. But the deal has already been approved by the board. According to the Catalan newspaper, the idea of Joan Laporta, who is at the origin of this solution to be able to register his players, is not to sign the agreement before December 31.
Gavi and Pedri extended thanks to this operation?
The president of FC Barcelona would prefer to wait for the resolution of the other lawsuit filed by the club against La Liga, this one before Barcelona's investigating court number 1. The resolution is expected this Monday. The president also wants to know, before signing the contract, if it will be approved by the championship. Barça is not 100% convinced that this new sale will be deemed sufficient by La Liga to return to the green in terms of financial fair play.
The Catalan management remembers, for example, that the employers' association had initially indicated to it that the extension of the sponsorship contract with Nike would be sufficient, before telling it that this would not be the case. Once La Liga validation has been obtained, Barça will sign the transfer contract for the VIP boxes, allowing Dani Olmo and Pau Victor to be registered but also Gavi and Pedri to officially extend their contracts.
